Hello!

I’m Denisse, the maker behind Fine & Splendid Things in Rochester, NY. This is my studio and shop, where handmade pieces sit beside vintage finds. It's also my philosophy of embracing the little moments, of slowing down and being fully present in the small but beautiful moments: Breathe deeply. Walk Slowly. Savor life. 

I sew handbags, pillows, and other homegoods that are useful and beautiful. Many of the textiles I work with come from flea markets, estate sales, and fabric stashes once loved by someone else. I work slowly and intentionally, creating pieces that are meant to last.

Fine & Splendid Things also includes a curated collection of antique, vintage and remade home decor. The shelves are filled with objects that have lived other lives: candleholders, trays, portraits, pottery, wooden chests and more. Everything in the studio is made, collected or upcycled in small batches.
