I'm all moved in and would love to welcome you here at the upcoming studio open house:
This new space is where I bring handmade creations to life and curate vintage, reclaimed, and upcycled home décor that tells a story. Come say hello, take a look around, and see what I’ve been working on. Whether you’re just curious or love unique finds, I’d love for you to stop by and visit. This space has been a labor of love, and I can’t wait to share it with you. Hope to see you there!

It's happening! The move to the new studio at Village gate Square in Rochester, NY, is underway.
Over the next several weeks, I'll be setting up the sewing atelier (the workshop portion) and the little shop (featuring handmade and vintage/reclaimed goods). I'll be closing my booth at The Carriage Place in Brockport, and launch this new space in 2025. More details will follow as we get closer. Can't wait to welcome you here! ... and this amazing Fine & Splendid Things logo stencil I custom-ordered from Stencil Stop is a part of it. More to be revealed in the coming weeks. (By the way, Skittles has completed his stencil inspection and is very pleased.)
This primitive style oak secretary desk (without a door) needed some love. I used Fusion Mineral Paint and then applied wax gilding. The gilding provides framing for Re·design with Prima floral transfers. I then applied a matte top coat over the entire piece.
The finished piece shows surface "imperfections." In one of the close-ups, you can even see where a door hinge used to be. For me, imperfections and markings tell the story of a piece, and I love honoring that history rather than trying to make something look brand new. |
